During our visit to EHA Grandview in Titiwangsa, we had the opportunity to meet patients who require continuous care and close attention as part of their daily lives.
Among the residents was an elderly patient in her 90s, as well as another patient who had been living with two severe pressure sores around both hip areas for an extended period of time.
As the wounds had remained difficult to manage and were taking longer than expected to improve, our visit was focused not only on providing wound care products, but also on sharing practical information with the medical and nursing team caring for the patients.
Our team provided several bottles of Bian Wound Care Gel for the centre to incorporate into their ongoing wound care routine.
During the session, we spoke with the doctor and nurses about the formulation of Bian Wound Care Gel, including its Oligopeptide-1 (EGF) component and how it is designed to support the skin’s natural regeneration process.
We also explained the importance of maintaining an appropriate moist wound environment, the contents of the product, and the correct way to apply the gel as part of regular wound care.
More importantly, the session gave us an opportunity to understand the challenges faced by both the patients and the caregivers managing these long-term wounds every day.
For patients with wounds that require prolonged care, consistency and proper wound management can make a meaningful difference in their overall care experience. By working together with the healthcare team at the centre, we hope Bian Wound Care Gel can become a useful part of their continued wound care routine.
Our Home Care Campaign is not simply about providing products. It is about being present, sharing knowledge, supporting caregivers, and helping them feel more prepared when caring for patients with challenging wounds.
We hope to continue following the patients’ progress and supporting the team at EHA Grandview throughout their wound care journey.
Good wound care is not only about what is applied to the wound — it is also about consistent care, understanding, and the people who continue looking after the patient every day.
