During our visit to M.Y Comfort Home Care Centre in Petaling Jaya, we met several bedridden patients who were managing ulcers and pressure sores, commonly around the tailbone, hips and feet.

Some of the pressure sores were approximately 4 to 5 inches in diameter, with several patients experiencing wounds on both sides of the hips. Prolonged immobility can make these pressure areas especially difficult to manage.

Although some of the wounds were relatively serious, it was encouraging to see that many still showed pink or reddish wound tissue, without obvious darkened tissue or heavy slough.

We provided the centre with around 2 to 3 bottles of Bian Wound Care Gel to support their ongoing wound care routine. The caregivers have since incorporated the gel into the care of several patients, while continuing to monitor each wound closely.

For us, being able to support multiple patients in one visit makes this Home Care Campaign especially meaningful — helping caregivers continue providing consistent care to those who need it most.
